Online offerings

What should have been a minor illness, a bout of the flu, has turned into an epic recovery that Peter Jackson could make a three part saga about. Along with the temperature, which I’ve now had for nearly two weeks, every day can bring a new interesting symptom. The past couple of days have included feelings of nausea and lack of appetite. Temperature’s rising

Apologies for the tumbleweeds blowing through my blog this month. NaNoWriMo gave way to the flu and even when I’ve had an idea to blog the combination of hiding under the duvet and blogging aren’t always mutually compatible. My sister has just been round to feed me and drop off essential supplies – milk so I can keep myself in warm cups of tea, grapes because they have too many at their house (though it does nicely fit with the theme of being ill) and of course chocolate.

What a Swine!

I’ve spent the past four days with growing cabin fever and a case of flu. Probably Swine Flu. As the NHS is diagnosing any flu as Swine Flu so I can only hope I’ve got it out of the way and I’m not in for round two later this year.
As I mentioned back in March in One Sick Blog I am the worst when I’m ill. I find it hard to accept I’m ill. When I finally do accept I am ill I lose all sense of humour. From there …

One sick blog

I don’t do being ill. This week I have no choice. Let it be stated that I am not happy about it. As you may have gathered from my blog to date I’m a get up and go person. If something brings me down I just fight it out and move on. Unfortunately physical illness doesn’t work like that. When you’re down you end up having to accept it, for a while at least.
I accepted it on Saturday. Fought it Sunday and Monday. And am now ten times worse. Lesson …
