What to blog?

6 August 2009 One Comment

This week has not been a good one for blogging. Since the wedding last Saturday I seem to have only been in one of two states. Busy or tired. Unfortunately neither of these have provided the inspiration for a good blog. A couple of rough drafts floated about, but I decided they were simply not interesting or witty enough.

Tweeting my dilemma the combined responses from @gavlp @whitespider1066 @mrsemdle and @dokeeffe14 led to the blog title “Sex Tips for Thieving Northern Bastards at Weddings”, however lacking expertise in this area I decided that perhaps I wasn’t best qualified to blog on such things.

The past couple of months I’ve been blogging so frequently that I can’t face a whole week without a blog. It seems that I’ve got myself into the good writing habit, and when I’m not writing I’m itching to produce something. So despite now being tired, and subjectless I had to blog. And here I am writing a blog about having nothing to blog about. Hmmm.

In just over a week I have two weeks of holiday and I have a few aims for those two weeks as I’m not going away anywhere. One of those aims is to blog everyday. However tired or busy I am I must make time to write something. It’s something I love and enjoy, so really it is about making time for myself. Something I struggle with at times. The biggest challenge will be producing different blogs daily. I can’t wimp out and write multiple blogs about being unable to find a subject to write about!

I’ll fill you in on the holiday plans next week. For tonight I can only apologise for a poor blog. Leaving you to ponder is it better to blog rubbish? Or wait for inspiration to strike?

Adorable, a blog about having nothing to blog about! I can certainly imagine that “Sex Tips for Thieving Northern Bastards at Weddings” is a rather specialist area of knowledge and would be exceptionally difficult to cover! Worry not – I find your “poor blog” rather comforting – sometimes life IS too busy or people ARE too tired. It’s called life!!
