What a Swine!

26 July 2009 No Comment

I’ve spent the past four days with growing cabin fever and a case of flu. Probably Swine Flu. As the NHS is diagnosing any flu as Swine Flu so I can only hope I’ve got it out of the way and I’m not in for round two later this year.

As I mentioned back in March in One Sick Blog I am the worst when I’m ill. I find it hard to accept I’m ill. When I finally do accept I am ill I lose all sense of humour. From there I head straight for wallowing in self-pity. It’s the one time I really could do with having people around to stop me taking myself too seriously. The only problem is that when you are ill people don’t want to be around you (especially when you have a suspected case of Swine Flu).

Anyway I am on the mend. Another day stuck in the flat and then I should be okay to venture into the outside world without infecting anyone else.

Still don’t have a clue how I got the piggy pox or hamthrax (two of the amusing nicknames doing the rounds). All I can guess is that I touched the wrong surface in the wrong 24-hour period.

I’m living in hope that my brain will reengage fully and creativity will return tomorrow so I can write a better blog!
