I started this blog as I made a big (some say brave, some say stupid) decision to quit my well paid job with great career prospects in London and move back up north (The entry ‘A New Start’ explains it in more detail). I have an ambition to spend my life writing, painting and travelling, but am well aware that there needs to be a lot of practice and hard work before I earn enough to quit the day job (again!) and support the travelling habit. So whilst I dream of spending a month hidden away in a Spanish villa writing my second novel, I need to get a move on with the first! I hope this blog follows my journey from project manager in the big smoke to successful author, via my current job in Communications & Marketing in the North East. Enjoy the ride!
